Cross-country skiing
With more than 500 kilometres of fantastic trails, the Chiemgau is one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing regions in Germany. There are fantastic cross-country trails through fairy-tale winter scenery in the Achental prepared for classic and skating style. Everyone will find something to suit his or her taste here. Just glide through peaceful nature and enjoy the wonderful panorama.
Winter hiking
Numerous idyllic winter hiking trails run through the snow-covered nature of the Bavarian mountains. Hike through the magical scenery of the Achental covered in its white blanket, listen to the sound of the snow crunching under your feet and enjoy the magnificent views – especially on one of the well-prepared high-altitude hiking trails.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is the best way to discover the winter scenery in the Achental. Walk through the fairy-tale forests, hike over the sunny hills and simply enjoy the silence of nature. The snow-covered Alpine pastures are perfect for making your own tracks in the virgin snow.
Skiing & Snowboarding
